So most everyone who writes a blog, wrote about their Christmas decorations the whole month of December and most of November, not me as usual I am behind. For the last couple of days I have read a lot of blogs that reviewed 2013 and/or set goals for 2014. I don’t have any set goals for 2014, and I don’t really want to review my past blogs. What I am going to share are a few pictures of how we got ready for Christmas and how we decorated around the house. I took some pictures and Sydney my oldest took some pictures. Mine are straight forward and shows you how it all looks. Sydney’s pictures give you the close up and details and to me the spirit of the season. She is so much more artistic than I am!
So to begin, we decided to get our tree on the snowiest day of the year! But we luckily had Ian’s jeep!
We buy our tree at the Lion’s lot and they worked on the honour system. Luckey! Because we were the only ones there!
We loaded it on the jeep and off we went!
We had to let it dry out in the garage and then we had some friends over to help decorate it.
Then we decorated the house!
The Dining Room Hutch.
The Fireplace Mantel.
The Foyer Buffet.
The Christmas Table.
The Tree on Christmas Eve!
Now I will share Sydney’s perspective on our Christmas decorations!
Wreath at the Christmas Tree lot.
After everything was decorated and we had made all our Christmas Goodies, we delivered them to our neighbors and friends.
So that was a tour of our Christmas and now it all has to come down! 2014 has arrived and it is time to start fresh. I hope your 2013 was a good one and that your 2014 will be even better!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
(a little late) 🙂
